Your California right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
1. Our Position on Sale and Sharing
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, together the "CCPA") and analogous state privacy laws, "sale" is broadly defined to include the exchange of personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. JAYOBE, Inc. ("JAYOBE") does not exchange personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration with any third party. JAYOBE does not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. JAYOBE does not participate in any advertising network, retargeting system, or behavioral advertising ecosystem.
Transfers of personal information to JAYOBE's named data processors — described in Section 7 of the Privacy Policy — for the sole purpose of each processor performing services on JAYOBE's behalf under a written data processing agreement are not "sales" under applicable law.
Because JAYOBE does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing for most Users to opt out of at this time. However, the CCPA and the privacy laws of several other U.S. states give you the right to submit a formal opt-out request regardless of whether a sale or sharing practice currently exists. JAYOBE honors that right.
Submitting a request through this page accomplishes three things:
It provides you with a written acknowledgment from JAYOBE confirming that your personal information has not been sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.
It logs your opt-out preference, so that if JAYOBE's practices ever change in the future, your opt-out will already be on file and will be applied automatically before any new practice takes effect, without the need for renewed action on your part.
It creates a record you may reference in any future privacy rights inquiry with JAYOBE or with a regulator.
2. Who This Page Applies To
This opt-out page is available to all Users of the Platform regardless of state of residence. The right to opt out of sale or sharing is most commonly associated with the CCPA, but JAYOBE extends the same opt-out mechanism to all U.S. Users as a matter of policy. You do not need to be a California resident to submit a request through this page.
3. How to Submit a Request
You may submit a request using either of the two methods below:
Option 1: Form Below
The opt-out request form on this page (see Section 4 below).
Option 2: Email
Send an email to privacy@jayobe.io with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." Include your email address in the body of the message and, optionally, your state of residence.
Both methods are treated identically. You do not need to submit a request through more than one method.
4. Opt-Out Request Form
Complete and submit the form below. You do not need to create a JAYOBE account to submit a request, and JAYOBE will not require you to verify your identity for this specific opt-out request.
5. What Happens Next
After you submit a request through the form or by email:
JAYOBE will acknowledge receipt of your request within ten (10) business days as required under California Code of Regulations title 11 section 7021. Your opt-out preference will be applied to JAYOBE's systems upon receipt of your request.
You will receive a confirmation email at the email address you provided. The confirmation will state that your personal information has not been sold and has not been shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If your email address does not match an existing JAYOBE account, JAYOBE may send a single follow-up email to the address you provided to confirm that the request originated from you, as a protection against fraudulent opt-out requests that impersonate third parties. No follow-up email is sent where your email matches an existing JAYOBE account.
Your opt-out preference will be logged and retained in our records, and retention of opt-out records is governed by Section 8 of the Privacy Policy. If JAYOBE's practices ever change in the future, your opt-out will be honored before any change affects you.
No identity verification is required for this specific opt-out request.
You are not required to create a JAYOBE account, log in, or provide additional information beyond what the form requests.
6. Your Other Privacy Rights
This page covers only the right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. You have additional privacy rights described in the JAYOBE Privacy Policy, which you can exercise by emailing privacy@jayobe.io. Those rights include:
Right to Know
The categories of personal information JAYOBE has collected about you, the categories of sources from which the information was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with whom the information has been shared.
Right to Access
The specific pieces of personal information JAYOBE holds about you, covering the preceding twelve (12) months.
Right to Deletion
Deletion of personal information JAYOBE holds about you, subject to legally permitted exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.
Right to Correct
Correction of inaccurate personal information.
Right to Limit Use
Limit the use of sensitive personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Right to Non-Discrimination
You will not be discriminated against for exercising any privacy right.
Right to Authorized Agent
You may designate an authorized agent to submit privacy rights requests on your behalf.
JAYOBE will acknowledge verified requests within ten (10) business days and will substantively respond within forty-five (45) days of receipt, with one possible forty-five (45) day extension where reasonably necessary, consistent with the CCPA and other applicable U.S. state privacy laws. Details of each right and JAYOBE's verification procedures are set forth in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy located at jayobe.io/privacy.
7. If JAYOBE's Practices Ever Change
JAYOBE's commitment not to sell personal information and not to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising is documented in Section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
If JAYOBE's data practices ever change so that a sale or sharing activity would begin:
Affected Users will be notified by email before any change takes effect.
JAYOBE will not apply any new sale or sharing practice to personal information already collected without the User's consent.
Users who have previously submitted an opt-out through this page will have their opt-out automatically applied to any new practice without being required to resubmit.
8. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser-level privacy signal that tells websites you do not want your personal information sold or shared with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. GPC is sent as an HTTP header (Sec-GPC: 1) on every request from browsers or browser extensions that have enabled it.
Note
JAYOBE detects and honors the GPC signal. If your browser or a browser extension you use sends the GPC signal, JAYOBE treats that signal as an automatic "Do Not Sell or Share" request. You do not need to complete or submit the form on this page for the GPC signal to be effective. JAYOBE also treats a GPC signal as a request to keep Platform analytics off for the sending browser, as described in Section 9 of the Cookie & Tracking Policy.
As of the Last Updated date at the top of this page, JAYOBE does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. JAYOBE's honoring of GPC therefore operates as a forward-looking commitment: if JAYOBE's practices ever change, GPC signals already received before that change will be treated as pre-existing opt-outs and will be honored before the new practice takes effect.
